Appointment Cancellation Policy
Important: In the U.S., it is a commonplace to cancel appointments on short notice, as there are always patients in the local area that can fill an opening for an appointment on short notice. The appointment scheduling process is very different in Mexico. If a patient does not show up for a scheduled appointment or cancels on short notice, that appointment time slot is lost. In addition, the logistics for your transfers, dentists, drivers, and office staff prepare in advance for your appointment. Therefore, it is impossible to recoup the time and expense necessary to prepare for your treatment.
Invasive procedures that require an oral surgeon, sedation, and a team of dental specialists, such as dental implants and All-on-4’s, are done by specially trained doctors. These procedures are very involved and require doctors to block out several hours, if not the entire day.
Appointments for our dental clinics are in high demand. Therefore, our cancellation policies assure that valuable appointments are for patients who intend to keep their appointment—apart from unforeseen circumstances—and that those needing treatments have availability to receive the care they need.
We take your time very seriously, and we understand that unexpected circumstances can require a rescheduling of your dental appointment. We also appreciate your understanding, cooperation, and consideration for our dentists, dental team, and other patients.
On occasion, a deposit may be necessary to hold an appointment reservation for your appointment. Deposits guarantees that doctors, specialists, assistants schedule time for you and all the required materials are available. In addition, any necessary parts for your treatment must also be paid for in advance, as they are specific to your case.
If the services provided during your appointment are less than your deposit, the balance will be refunded.
Cancellation and Rescheduling Fees
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment for some reason, we will do our best to accommodate you with minimal fees. Please review the cancellation and rescheduling policy below:
- 15 calendar days or more before your scheduled appointment:
- No cancellation fees apply.
- Less than 15 calendar days (but more than seven calendar days) before the day of your scheduled appointment:
- The clinic may charge a $75 cancellation fee to your credit card.
- If you reschedule your appointment within 90 days from the cancellation date, the $75 fee will be applied toward your next appointment.
- Seven calendar days or less from the scheduled day of your appointment:
- Cancellation: The clinic may charge a $75 cancellation fee to your credit card.
- Rescheduling: A rescheduling fee of $200 may be required and applied toward your next appointment.
You are responsible for discretionary travel expenses, including your hotel, travel insurance, meals, etc. None of which are covered by your deposit to Beyond Borders Dental, LLC and our dental clinics. Please see the hotel cancellation policy of your lodging provider.
If you do not show up at the indicated time for your scheduled appointment, you forfeit the entire amount of your deposit, and the clinic reserves the right not to reschedule you.
We understand that there may be unavoidable circumstances that may prevent your ability to keep a scheduled appointment. However, if you have an emergency or exceptional circumstances, please get in touch with us. Our goal is to resolve any situation in a way that is fair to all parties.
COVID Cancellation Policy: If you have to cancel your appointment within 24 hrs of your scheduled visit due to illness, you will not be able to reschedule for a minimum of 14 days per the current public health guidelines. No exceptions to our cancellation policy. We thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
