Appointment Cancellation & No Show Policy
In the U.S., it is commonplace to cancel appointments on short notice, as there are always patients in the local area that can fill an opening for an appointment on short notice. However, the appointment scheduling process is very different in Mexico. If a patient does not show up for a scheduled appointment, cancels on short notice, or doesn’t show up, that appointment time slot is lost. In addition, the logistics for your transfers, dentists, drivers, and office staff prepare in advance for your appointment. Therefore, it is impossible to recoup the time and expense necessary to prepare for your treatment.
Surgical procedures that require an oral surgeon, sedation, anesthesiologist, and a team of dental specialists, such as dental implants and All-on-4s, are done by specially trained doctors. These procedures are very involved and require doctors to block out several hours or even the entire day.
Appointments for our dental offices are in high demand. Therefore, our cancellation policy ensures that valuable appointments are for patients who intend to keep their appointment—apart from unforeseen circumstances—and that those needing treatments can receive the care they need.
We take your time very seriously and understand that unexpected circumstances may require rescheduling your dental appointment. We also appreciate your understanding, cooperation, and consideration for our dentists, dental team, and other patients.
Cancellations, Rescheduling and No Shows
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment for any reason, we do our best to accommodate you with minimal fees.
Your credit card will not be charged if you contact the dental office at least three business days before your appointment. If you do not cancel, reschedule or show up for your scheduled appointment, $50 will be charged for evaluation and routine appointments. If you do not cancel, reschedule or show up for a surgical appointment, your credit card will be charged $500 (plus materials and parts ordered).
We understand that there may be unavoidable circumstances that may prevent your ability to keep a scheduled appointment. However, please contact us as soon as possible if you have an emergency or exceptional circumstances. Our goal is to resolve any situation in a way that is fair to all parties.
