Beyond Borders Dental, and our dental clinics, have always been and remain, deeply concerned for the health and well-being of patients, the dental team, and the public. Our clinics are staying on top of developments of COVID-19 outbreaks and following recommended guidelines for infection control to prevent the spread of this virus. In addition, we’re in frequent contact with them and happy to report no cases of COVID-19 have been reported in our dental clinics staff or patients who kept their appointments since the start of this pandemic. Should this change at any time, we’ll be informed right away and take immediate action to inform patients who have scheduled appointments to consider rescheduling.
Additional precautions crossing the border to Mexico include:
- According to the Border Report, Mexico has extended health screenings of visitors coming from the U.S. to eight border crossings.
- Our dental clinic drivers wipe the vehicles down with disinfectant wipes after every trip with patients.
- They’re using approved cleaning products to clean to disinfect their clinic reception counter surfaces, water dispensers, door handles, sign in sheets, and light switches.
- The receptionists ask patients with appointments to come to the clinic on their own unless they feel it is important to bring a companion.
Our dental teams work hard to prevent the spread of infection, COVID-19 or others. Before patients enter the examining room, all surfaces, such as the dental chair, dental light, drawer handles and counter-tops, will be cleaned and disinfected.
Non-disposable items like the dental tools are cleaned and sterilized between patients. Disposable dental tools and needles are never reused. Infection control precautions also require all dental staff involved in patient care to use appropriate protective equipment such as gloves, masks, gowns and eye-wear when needed. After each patient, disposable gloves and masks are thrown away. Before seeing the next patient, everyone on the treatment team washes their hands and put on a new pair of gloves.
Your well-being is the number one concern for us and our dental staff—infection control procedures are in place at our dental clinics.
Our dentists make well-informed decisions about their patients and practices based on current information available to them. They continually evaluate and make changes, as needed on an ongoing basis as new information becomes available.
