COVID-19 Virus and Our Juarez Dental Clinic

Beyond Borders Dental, and our Juárez dental clinic remain deeply concerned for the health and well-being of patients, the dental staff, and the public. They are staying on top of developments of COVID-19 outbreaks and following recommended guidelines for infection control to prevent the spread of this virus. In addition, we’re in frequent contact with the Patient Care Coordinator and happy to report no cases of COVID-19 have been reported in our Juárez dental clinic staff or patients who kept their appointments since the start of this pandemic. Should this change at any time, we’ll be informed right away and take immediate action to inform patients who have scheduled appointments to consider rescheduling.

Additional safety precautions the Juárez dental clinic is taking include:

  • According to the Border Report, Mexico has extended health screenings of visitors coming from the U.S. to eight border crossings
  • They check the temperature (with non-contact thermometers) of everyone prior to entering the clinic
  • Their drivers are wiping the inside of vehicles down with disinfectant after every trip with patients
  • They’re practicing social distancing and allowing non-essential staff to work from home and/or rotate shifts
  • They’re limiting the number of patients in the clinic, especially the waiting area
  • Everyone entering the clinic are required to wear protective face masks, including doctors, staff and patients
  • Hand sanitizer is readily available throughout the clinic
  • They’re using approved cleaning products to clean to disinfect their clinic reception counter surfaces, water dispensers, door handles, sign in sheets and light switches
  • The receptionists ask patients with appointments to come to the clinic on their own unless they feel it is important to bring a companion
  • They’re having the entire clinic professionally disinfected every two weeks

In addition, before patients enter the examining room, all surfaces, such as the dental chair, dental light, drawer handles and counter-tops, are cleaned and disinfected.

Non-disposable items like the dental tools are cleaned and sterilized between patients. Disposable dental tools and needles are never reused. Infection control precautions also require all dental staff involved in patient care to use appropriate protective equipment such as gloves, masks, gowns and eye-wear when needed. After each patient, disposable gloves and masks are thrown away. Before seeing the next patient, everyone on the treatment team washes their hands and put on a new pair of gloves.

Your well-being is the number one concern for us and our dental staff—infection control procedures are in place at our dental clinics.

Our dentists make well-informed decisions about their patients and practices based on current information available to them. They continually evaluate and make changes, as needed on an ongoing basis as new information becomes available.

We want to reiterate, we’re always, first and foremost, an advocate for your health. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at or call (505) 738-7770, Monday through Friday, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm (CMT).
